浙江大學(xué)機器人研究院（以下簡稱“研究院”）是為貫徹落實浙江省委省政府關(guān)于推進工業(yè)轉(zhuǎn)型升級的戰(zhàn)略部署，在余姚市的大力推動下，于2017年由浙江大學(xué)和余姚市合作共建的新型研發(fā)機構(gòu)。

研究院面向科技前沿、面向經(jīng)濟發(fā)展主戰(zhàn)場，將機器人、智能裝備研發(fā)及產(chǎn)業(yè)化作為主要突破方向；立足余姚、服務(wù)浙江、面向全國，以“合作、創(chuàng)新、智能、引領(lǐng)”為理念，以體制機制創(chuàng)新為抓手，以科技研發(fā)、成果轉(zhuǎn)化和人才培育為核心，著力構(gòu)建技術(shù)一人才一產(chǎn)業(yè)深度融合的創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)生態(tài)；努力建成為國內(nèi)一流的機器人領(lǐng)域政、產(chǎn)、學(xué)、研、用深度融通的新高地。

Zhejiang University Robotics Institute (hereinafter referred to as the "The Institute") is a new research and development institution jointly built by Zhejiang University and Yuyao in 2017, in order to implement the strategic deployment of Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and provincial government on promoting industrial transformation and upgrading.

Facing the forefront of science and technology and the main battlefield of economic development, the Institute takes the research, development and industrialization of robots and intelligent equipment as the main breakthrough direction; The institute keeps a foothold in Yuyao, serving Zhejiang and facing the whole country, with the concept of "cooperation, innovation, intelligence and leadership", takes institutional and mechanism innovation as the starting point, scientific and technological research and development, achievement transformation and talent cultivation as the core. 
The institute strives to build an innovation and entrepreneurship ecology with deep integration of technology, talent and industry, a new highland for the in-depth integration of government, industry, academy, research and application in the domestic first-class robot field.
